HUNTINGTON — Tyler Childers, local country music superstar, made it to the big time. Along for the ride was his band, The Food Stamps, comprised of graduates from Marshall University’s School of Music. However, in recent months, it has become evident that Childers’ coattails are long enough to support the entirety of Marshall’s Music Department.
The Food Stamps have been cruising along with plenty of room on Childers’ coattails, enough to stretch their legs, relax, go for walks, etc. However, it appears that it might start to get a little stuffy on there.
With over 120 students in the department, the custom-tailored and luxuriously long, tweed coattails are about to become “standing room only”. While this is no problem for Childers, it looks like The Food Stamps may have take advantage of West Virginia’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The inside joke and catchphrase, “eatin’ big time” is about to take on a whole new meaning — the accommodations and catering for a group of this size is going to be gi-fucking-normous.
