“My Brother, My Brother & Don Blankenship” Podcast Canceled After McElroy Brother is Injured

HUNTINGTON—The new hit podcast from The McElroy Family was canceled last week after the disappearance of Griffin and hospitalization of Travis. My Brother, My Brother & Don Blankenship had just started picking up steam and they were performing their first live show at The Keith Albee Theater.

Travis McElroy suffered a head injury after stage light fell on his head during their performance and is making a speedy recovery at St. Mary's Medical Center.

“I just thought it would be cheaper to mount it using some Elmer’s and duct tape,” Don Blankenship told Ramp reporters as he fished a dollar tied to a string out of a vending machine in the hospital lobby.

He got a Zero Bar… Gross.

The McElroys have not heard from the third brother, Griffin, since he went on “vacation” to Blankenship’s Las Vegas mansion two weeks ago.

“We just thought it would be a hilarious bit to see Griffin and a money-hungry coal baron do a little switcheroo but my god, this is so fucked now,” said Justin McElroy, outside of the hospital.

Vegas police are investigating reports that the podcast star was allegedly kidnapped by Chinese spies while staying inside Blankenship’s mansion.

Justin told reporters, “yeah, we thought it was odd that Don insisted it would be funnier if Griffin wore a fat suit and looked like him.”

Blankenship spared no expense in getting makeup artists to make Griffin look like a dead ringer for the 29-time convicted coal miner-killing multi-millionaire. “I got the fella who did The Grinch with Jim Carrey,” Blankenship said, now stuffing stamping blanks he filed to look like quarters into the vending machine to get an Diet Coke.

When Ramp reporters asked if Blankenship had prior knowledge of the alleged kidnapping he replied with so many racial slurs we couldn't even put it in print.

The McElroy brothers have decided to put the show on hold while they try to convince the People’s Republic of China that their brother is indeed not Don Blankenship.
