HUNTINGTON — Ramp reporters spoke with Governor Jim Justice about his upcoming Elon Musk Wario costume he designed in preparation for the Huntington Comic & Toy Convention, taking place June 5-6 at the Mountain Health Arena.
Governor Justice spoke to us about his love for Saturday Night Live: “Will Farrell, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Eddie Murphy — these are some of the greats. And don’t get me wrong, I love the cast now. They got me hootin’ and hollerin’ every Saturday night.”
While we kept getting distracted by the silly mustache and gloves, he continued, “From one billionaire SNL enthusiast to another, that Wario court sketch had me laughin’ til I was redder than my MawMaw’s ‘maters.”
Big Jim said that he identified with Wario the most out of all the characters in the Extended Mario Universe. “It’s just so cool, man. To get to see a man I admire so much portraying my favorite video game character, I was happier than a tornado in a trailer park! So then I went to JoAnn fabrics and got to work. One-hundred-and-forty-some-odd hours later, and look at me!”
Ramp reporters looked at the Governor and confirmed he was cooler than hell and super awesome. Governor Justice added that he wanted Senator Joe Manchin to accompany him dressed as Waluigi, but Manchin was allegedly "being a little baby".
