DaBaby is in hotter water than Chad O’Toole’s signature Ghost Pepper Anus Napalm Chili. The famous rapper was dropped from the list of acts set to perform in Huntington for ChiliFest 2021 after the North Carolina rapper made homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Festival last month in Miami, Florida.
“We wanted hot chili. Not hot takes.” said ChiliFest organizer, Ashley Swan. ChiliFest is set to take part October 2, 2021. Swan said she is having to heighten security at this year’s ChiliFest after pro-life groups went into an uproar at her decision.
“We believe all babies should get a chance to perform at ChiliFest. Why make the decision for someone who can’t speak for themselves?” said Gregory Hanslow, leader of pro-life organization, Boss Babies.
Hanslow is currently embroiled in a vicious lawsuit with DreamWorks Animation over the name of the organization. He and his protestors seem to have misunderstood the situation.
“We’re looking for some replacement acts. Someone that’s not controversial. We were considering staying with the theme and reaching out to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. We floated the idea of putting Dave Navarro in the Chili Dunk Tank.” Swan said.
“We weren’t gonna have them perform, oh god no that would be terrible.”
